Museums

The museums in Mexico city are to much, just in the center of the city we can find more than twenty in the area around the main square (zócalo). But are much more than that. In this time, I will offer you a short list about what we can find about museums near to Mexico city main square(zócalo).

For the beginning I´ll recommend you to visit that one that we check in our last comment. specially “The Main Temple museum (museo del Templo Mayor)”.

But wen we finish that one, we can choose one of this other alternatives.

1. The Cultures National Museum (Museo Nacional de las Culturas): Here we go to live an interest experience about the multiple cultures that was exist through the history time in all over the world.

Is highly recommended to visit.

2. St. Ildefonso old school (antiguo colegio de San Ildefonso): A beautiful building from the colony time count between their walls have a grate Mexican muralism sample. Is highly recommended.

3. Museum Jose Luis Cuevas (The giantess house (La casa de la giganta)): This is a museum where we can find the Cuevas artist expression. (J. L. Cuevas is an important Mexican Pinter and Sculptor). Is to recommended to visit.

4. Estanquillo Museum: this museum contain the personal writer Carlos Monsiváis´s collections, this is a really important place to visit because here we have a grate opportunity to have a view of Mexico through one of most important Mexican litterateur representative eyes.

5. Cartoons Museum (museo de la caricatura): An interesting place to have a nice time, here we´ll find a nice collection about historic news papers cartoons. Even the museum ofter a grate experience in the night museum show.

6. Mexican Design Museum (museo del Diseño Mexicano). This is a new concept that pretend to show the Mexican design wold, and combine in just one space a museum and a live i a commercial area. Is the only one museum that I know where you can take a room to lodge and even work.

7. National Art Museum (Museo Nacional de Arte): An oasis of culture between the Mexico city main square (zócalo). And the Beauty Arts Palace. This museum give us a nice time enjoining they multiple arts exhibitions from all different time and stile in the art wold, over the world.

At the end, I want to invite you to take a time in the day to walk around the Mexico downtown. You will find a big fun diversity, in the Mexico city we can get more than 140 museums all around.
